I love thick paint holding luscious brushstrokes. I recently discovered something called cold wax, which is beeswax in medium that you can add to paint to make it thick. The downside is that it will not dry as hard as paint mixed with just linseed oil, and can crack if done on a stretchy canvas and is better used on panel.
Of course I didn’t have a gesso covered panel handy and I was too excited to try this. I mainly wanted to see how thick and how many textures I could make with this painting, so I know it’s not great art.
